MacKay Guardian™ XLE Plus
MacKay Guardian™ mechanisms have been the parking industry’s most respected and foremost choice for single space parking meter solutions for many years now. With over half a million worldwide, they have proven themselves as reliable, sturdy and cost-effective for on-street parking.
Customers have been asking for it, now it is here. We are excited to introduce the MacKay Guardian™ XLE Plus; MacKay’s next generation of electronic mechanism with credit card payment. The two major advantages of the XLE Plus over other X-Series mechanism are real-time credit card acceptance and back-office support software.
The XLE Plus offers wireless connectivity for secure on-line, real-time credit card payment, transaction/event data capture, alerting, and browser-based remote monitoring and reporting software.
The XLE Plus has a separate magnetic stripe swipe card reader for credit cards. Credit card transactions are sent in real-time through a PCI DSS compliant gateway to the merchant’s bank account. Credit card authorizations typically completed within seconds.
On the back end, the XLE Plus is supported by a powerful new web-based monitoring tool or “Meter Management System”. This browser based application is easily customized to your needs and offers dozens of monitoring, reporting, mapping, alerting, and administrative features to help you manage your meters better. Now you can see when you need to perform a collection, the operational status of each meter, how much money is being spent at each meter and what payment type is being used. Additionally, the MacKay Meter Management System can monitor both your XLE Plus meters and Multi pay stations using the same tool.
The XLE Plus can be purchased as a complete mechanism, but first and foremost, the XLE Plus can be an upgrade option for those customers possessing existing MacKay’s XLE meters. This will allow customers to add functionality to their existing meters without having to completely replace them. The upgrade consists of a handful of parts that are easily added to the MacKay Guardian™ XLE and will allow the mechanism to still fit into most existing housings.
